Copenhagen Dance Education has around 60 teachers from abroad that join us.
We do physical training 3 times per week with each session lasting 1 hour and 15 minutes. The sessions are on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, and they focus on cardio, stamina, and strength.
You cannot be a complete beginner if you want to join Copenhagen Dance Education. Whether your strength is in commercial choreography, freestyle, modern, etc. is not important, but you must be confident in your talents and prepared to work hard. You should be able to identify why you want to participate in the program and what you intend to get out of it.
We have lunch everyday from 11:30-12:15, and you do have to bring your own food. However, we have a refrigerator and kitchen that you can use to store and cook your food.
No, unfortunately it is not. However, you can buy t-shirts, hoodies, pants, suitcases, etc. for a good price at the studio; including designs with a special, vintage logo.
You can also go to our shop here, to check it out yourself.
You get 2 photoshoots. One occurs before the Christmas/Winter holidays and provides you with full-body shots in black and white. For the second shoot, you will take headshots in the studio. These headshots are displayed in the foyer and in the program for the final show. We will also mail the prints with your diploma for you to use at future auditions.
We frequently have Katrine Nordahl or Ida Vibe, our regular videographers, come into various classes to film. There are also specific “video classes” where you will be given videos of yourself dancing the combination.
The Black Box Project is a part of the program where you work on a solo or duet to perform in a black box theater. You will then receive personal feedback from agency dancers, industry people, and educators.
